“Night Library” Event, Oki From a Foreigner’s Point of View

On Saturday, May 19th from 7:00-7:50PM, two Coordinators of International Relations from the Oki Islands UNESCO Global Geopark Promotion Committee will be speaking about the charms of Oki from a foreigner’s point of view in a “Night Library” event held by the Okinoshima Town Library.

Jagoda Woloszyn and Caite Alexander, who come from Poland and America respectively, are both foreign residents living in the Oki Islands. With foreign tourism rising in recent years, they hope to use their perspective as foreign residents to help explain what draws people from all over the world to these small islands in the Sea of Japan.

After the presentation a Cultural Exchange Café will be held in the Magazine Corner, where participants can take part in casual discussion with foreign residents of Oki on different countries and cultures,

We encourage anyone with interest to participate!
