Participants from the Oki Islands gave two presentations on local initiatives: one was on the incorporation of the geopark in early childhood education, and the other was on the three high school students’ geopark research project about extermination of an invasive plant species, lance-leaved tickseed. A number of people showed interest in both presentations.
During the symposium there were also excursions, providing an opportunity to see the local traditional culture and scenery of Rinjani-Lombok UNESCO Global Geopark.
