Columnar Joints and Samizu-no-taki Cliff, Ganya

In this area you can see hexagonal and pentagonal shaped rock columns that fell from the cliff above. The shape of these rocks is due to the difference in temperature between the surface and the inside of the lava when it cooled and hardened.
