The fishing port of Yui features the widest wave-cut bench in Dōgo Island, called Yui Maenosu (Yui Intertidal Shore Platform). It was formed by lacustrine rock from 20 million years ago that continues to be eroded by the wind and waves of the Sea of Japan.
