Held every year on July 23 & 24 at Takuhi Shrine (Mita area, Nishinoshima Town)
At the festival, after mikomai dance is dedicated to the deity, Dōzen Kagura shinto dance is performed all night long. Also, at Takuhi Shrine, Ryūtō-sai Festival is held to symbolize the origin of Takuhi Gongen at night on New Year's Eve. Furthermore, there is a practice of worshiping the sacred fire during the New Year; nowadays it is passed down the generations as Hatsumairi, where locals of the Dōzen Islands visit the shrine in turn from the 5th day of the Lunar New Year.
