Unique Ecosystem - Endemic Species
This is an endemic species of the Oki Islands. It ranges from 3.8–5.3 cm long, with a narrow body width, long, slender limbs, and a rounded rostrum (the protruding part around the mouth area). It is carnivorous, feeding on insects, spiders, and worms. Its breeding season is from February through March.
